Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen

I was excited to try this new teeth whitening product out. I received this product complimentary from Influenster and Target for testing purposes. It seemed easy and simple to use. What really made me question the product is that it says that you can whiten on the go. It comes with a toothbrush and a teeth whitening pen.

The steps are to first brush your teeth and then whiten them.  So I brushed my teeth with the toothbrush. The toothbrush is terrible! I couldn’t even brush my teeth with it. It has these thick white squishy things that make brushing your teeth a hard task.  Using this toothbrush made me feel like my teeth wasn’t getting clean enough. So I switched back to my old tooth brush. 

Then I apply the teeth whitening product onto my teeth. You twist the pen once and a small amount of product will pop out. When I applied the product onto my teeth, it would apply in clumps and would not go on evenly so I had to use a q-tip or my finger to apply the product evenly onto my teeth. I didn’t try to whiten on the go because I know that is a total fail. So I kept the product onto my teeth until the product start to look like suds/foam. (My facial expression as I was letting the product does it job)

Then I would rinse my mouth with warm water several times. I used this product every day for about 5 days straight. That’s how much use I was able to get from the pen. I did not see a difference in my teeth. My teeth didn’t look white, and then still looked the same.  It however helped removed some plaque that I had which helped me save money and a trip to the dentist. At the end of the day, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product. I would give this 1 star out of 4.
